How we raise them

High country, native grass, and a light hand.

The valley sits near 8,000 feet with long winters and short, green summers. Cattle that thrive here are hardy, easy-keeping, and used to weather. That is what we select for, and it is what you get.

Humane: Low-stress handling, room to roam, and shelter from the wind. Our cattle are moved on foot and horseback and handled in a way that keeps them calm.
Sustainable: Rotational grazing on native grass keeps the ground covered and the soil alive. We seed cover crops with a no-till drill and let the herd do the fertilizing.
Transparent: You are welcome to come see the herd, the pasture, and the records. Ask us anything about how an animal was raised and you will get a straight answer.
